99% filtered means not in diligence or portfolio.

Misano

The 99% on the statistics page is not a slogan. It is a live funnel ratio: analysed companies whose status is not due diligence and not portfolio.

What the number counts

  • Analysed = every real company in the database (demo and test workspaces excluded).
  • Kept for this ratio = due diligence + portfolio. That is the 1%.
  • Watching and shortlist still count as filtered. They are in the book, still scored, but they are not the 1%.
  • The JSON field is filtered_pct at misano.ai/api/statistics. The page and the JSON refresh daily.

Why it is floored

  • The page prints an integer percent. Rounding 99.5% and above used to print 100% while the funnel still showed names in diligence and portfolio.
  • Floor never claims 100% unless those two stages are empty.
  • Dated snapshot, 31 Aug 2026: 1,256 analysed, 3 diligence, 3 portfolio → 99.52% → displayed 99. Live number: misano.ai/statistics.

What to do with the 1%

  • Spend time on diligence and portfolio, not re-reading the pile that already failed the thesis.
  • Scoring exists to help you pass faster. Site lede: "Scoring isn't there to flatter a pipeline — it's there to help you pass faster." Full funnel: misano.ai/guides/deal-pipeline-and-scoring.
  • Strategy Fit is a separate 0–3 axis. It is not this percentage. How the axes differ: misano.ai/guides/strategy-fit-is-not-the-score.
  • Watching and Passed stay scored so a later yes is findable. Why that matters: misano.ai/guides/the-buried-no.

What this is not

  • Not a promise your book will reject 99%. It is the platform aggregate, not your workspace.
  • Not Strategy Fit counts. Those are a separate axis on the same statistics page.
  • Not a claim that watching is trash. Watching is "doesn't fit today, plausibly later."
  • Not individual scores or valuations. Those stay private. Aggregates only.

Frequently asked

01

What does 99% filtered mean?

It is the share of analysed companies whose Scout status is not due diligence and not portfolio. The live figure is filtered_pct on misano.ai/statistics (and /api/statistics). Demo and test workspaces are excluded.

02

Does watching count as filtered?

Yes. Watching and shortlist still count as filtered for this metric. The 1% is diligence plus portfolio only. Watching stays in the book, still scored.

03

Why not 100%?

The integer is floored, not rounded. Floor never prints 100% while anyone sits in diligence or portfolio. On 31 Aug 2026 the raw share was 99.52%; the page showed 99.

04

Are individual company scores public?

No. The statistics page publishes aggregates only. No individual valuation or score is published. Updated daily.
